Wuhan is a larger city, having about 8 million people. It is quite modern and relatively clean. It is one of the main transit points to the famous "Yangtze River Three-Gorges Cruises". That was, of course, the main reason we were there on our tour. We found several delightful places to visit while here, including a stunning museum, a lovely park with a beautiful tower (where this picture was taken), a Buddhist temple that is still active, a garden and museum of Bonsai Trees and Scholar's Stones along with some dinosaur skeletons, and some good beer after a 10 mile walk around the city.
This was also the location of the summer villa for Mao Zedong; as well as the headquarters for Dr. Sun Yatsen, the liberator of China (from the last dynasty).
Mainly, however, Wuhan is an industrial area and a large port on the Yangtze River; bustling with energy and business.
