This is a Naga head, broken and fallen from its balustrade, probably centuries ago.  This is on the walk through the jungle to visit the site of Beng Mealea situated about 80km road miles from Siem Reap, it is the most un-restored of all the sites available.  Beng Mealea was built in the early 12th Century by Suryavarman II.
