Siem Reap - Angkor Wat - 2006

Here is a view from North West of the moat to the western gallery, and all five towers which begin up on the third level.  The huge scale is shown by the fact that the entrance causeway, in the middle of the West wall, doesn’t even appear in this photograph as it is too far to the right.  What is seen here is less than ½ of the Western outside gallery-wall.

We had unusually good weather, being in the low 80’s and only an occasional trace of rain.  September is a good month to travel, but luck must be with you in avoiding the monsoons through October.
