Hue - My Son - 2006

Some detail of the relief carving in the walls of the main surviving temple.  This site was a staging ground for the Viet Cong during the American War, so much of the area was reduced to rubble by the various American forces.  The UNESCO efforts to restore it, still ongoing, are impressive. We were extremely fortunate, as this is usually a very crowded site and we shared it with only a few other people during our visit.
