Portugal - Oporto - 2005

Again, a view from the Ponte Dom Luis I back at the old City Wall and some of the residential area.  On this morning’s walk, we stopped into a Café and had one of many very good, friendly experiences with the Portuguese.  The Café owner had been to America in 2003 and wanted to talk to and help us.  Portuguese are an extremely friendly people, at least towards Americans. The old city wall, at this point, is a couple of hundred meters above the Duro River. Notice the funicular tracks to the right to ease the job of climbing up to the city center.
