But let’s get back to the “roots”. Here is a picture of our little “gang of four” at an entrance to one of the buildings. You can see the growth twining down; and in this one, you can see that there is an older, dead tree being overgrown by a newer, live tree which has white roots compared to the brown of the older one.
Notice the blocks lying about randomly. This site has not been restored past removing a large amount of the jungle and some of the trees, leaving many in place for their photographic impact.
This is a wonderful place to wander about and enjoy without much strain or hurry. It was about the only site where we actually encountered a number of other tourists and had to wait for some clear picture opportunities, and in some instances simply had to take a picture with people in it.
