We arranged a van to take us from Hue to Hoi An, via Hai Van pass and through Da Nang. The road up and over the pass held many spectacular vistas of the coastline. The top of the pass was crowded with beggars who were very persistent.
On the way through Da Nang we visited the National Museum of Cham Sculpture, which is a great display of Cham relics.
Just south of Da Nang, we stopped to visit the “Marble Mountain” with its vistas and caves. This is a “Karst” formation and the caverns were very large with some carved relics.
This pagoda is the view from the top of the mountain, out towards the City coastline. The climb up was steep, long and uneven so Lois stayed with the van. We didn’t climb down to this pagoda because I didn’t want to climb back up.
