Hue - The Citadel - 2006
Bron and Lois in their respective cyclos as we tour around the Citadel. The area enclosed is now both the town as well as a lot of dedicated agricultural areas for rice and other water crops. Cyclos are a great way to see the Citadel, as it is normally either too hot, or raining, to walk the long distances that are required to see all of the different aspects and cultural sites within the overall complex.
One must, however, watch out for some "scams" from the cyclo drivers. They will start for "Just 1 hour", and it winds up two or three. The prices is low for the hour, then at the end it is much higher. We didn't fully negotiate and wound up getting "stuck". But, on the other hand, it was really so little to us and so much to them....it's hard to complain or find fault.
