Wuxi - Jeremy and Bron at the Carefree Garden (Jichang Yuan)

This garden is considered a most beautiful Ming garden, the Dynastic age referring to the garden's landscape architecture, as the buildings are reconstructions. It provided silence and restfulness and was a pleasant escape from the hectic pace of the tour. This garden was quite large, with many walkways, bridges, ponds, trees, etc. It had lovely small nooks and cranny's, and some lovely architectural delights in some of these smaller places. This garden is located within the West Favored Park (Xihui Gongyuan) which we were told had amusement rides, a chairlift to a mountain peak, pagodas, etc., but as the tour was running a bit behind; and they wanted to get to some commercial venues, we didn't get to see the park other than this garden. I'm sorry we missed the park, as there are said to be many antiquity buildings and monuments within it.
