Hangzhou - Tea Garden at a Tea Factory
This is a garden, where one takes tea, at one of the many tea producers in and around Hangzhou. They are particularly famous for their Longjing Green Tea. Our tour included a formal tea service inside, though I'm sure not quite the same as in polite society. The finish of the service was a most "used-car-salesman" type hard-sell closing to get you to pay exorbitant prices for some of their tea; which I'd admit was quite good. The kid (perhaps 19) who did the hard-sell was very charming and could have been a computer salesman at CompUSA on the day prior to the cutoff for "best salesman of the year" prizes. The tea fields were quite meticulously groomed; and they were surrounded by forests of bamboo much like those in the "flying fight scene" in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
